8. Summerville is blessed with Azalea Park, a 12-acre paradise in the midst of its downtown. The park boasts peaceful ponds, paths, fountains, tennis courts and an inviting collection of permanent sculpture.

9. Long known for its Dorchester 2 public schools, Summerville is also home to Pinewood Prep, a highly regarded independent school that accepts students from preschool through grade 12.

10. Summerville has welcomed national, regional and locally-owned retail, restaurant, and service businesses at record rates over the last decade. The same is true for homebuilders and developers.
