    Turtle Point was designed by Jack Nicklaus and features three spectacular oceanfront holes. It offers golfers a low profile design that takes advantage of the island’s natural contours and dune ridges. The course flows seamlessly through interior forests of hardwoods and palmettos, along backwater lagoons and finally to three spectacular holes along the Atlantic Ocean. Subtle greens demand a keen eye and deft touch. The course has hosted many amateur and professional tournaments including the 1990 PGA Cup Matches.

  • THE OCEAN COURSE by Pete Dye800-576-1570

    Undoubtedly one of Pet Dye’s most superb designs, The Ocean Course received worldwide attention as the host of the dramatic 1991 Ryder Cup Matches and the 2007 Senior PGA Championship. Scheduled to host the 2012 PGA Championship this August. Named by Golf Digest as "America’s Toughest Course," this 7,356-yard course (7,676 yards from the PGA tees) offers spectacular views along two and one half miles of Atlantic Ocean.

    Tucked away in the center of Kiawah River Estates, just outside of the Kiawah gate, Oak Point is most frequently referred to as a Scottish-American style course. It borders the historic Haulover Creek on the grounds of an old indigo and cotton plantation. Wide areas of windswept fairways stretch alongside salty marshes interspersed with densely forested areas of live oaks, magnolias, pines and palmetto palms.

    Proclaimed by many long-time guests as their favorite course on the island, Cougar Point is the resort’s Gary Player design. This par-72 layout features holes playing directly along broad expanses of tidal marsh, offering panoramic views of the Kiawah River and acres of needlerush and spartina grass.     A Tom Fazio design, Osprey Point is set amid pristine lagoons, marshes and maritime forests, offering picturesque views from every hole. The course features four large natural lakes and fingers of saltwater marshes. Into this backdrop Fazio created a masterpiece of playability and variety. It was recently ranked 11th in Golf Digest’s "Top 50 Golf Courses for Women" and was the host of the Eastern Regional PGA Club Professional Championship in 2000.
