Scheduled to host the 2012 PGA Championship this August. Named by Golf Digest as America’s Toughest Course, this 7,356-yard course (7,676 yards from the PGA tees) offers spectacular views along two and one half miles of Atlantic Ocean.

  • OSPREY POINT by Tom Fazio8005761570

A Tom Fazio design, Osprey Point is set amid pristine lagoons, marshes and maritime forests, offering picturesque views from every hole. The course features four large natural lakes and fingers of saltwater marshes. Into this backdrop Fazio created a masterpiece of playability and variety. It was recently ranked 11th in Golf Digest’s Top 50 Golf Courses for Women and was the host of the Eastern Regional PGA Club Professional Championship in 2000. Beginning in May 2014, under the direction of course architect Tom Fazio, Osprey Point will undergo major renovations, including regrassing the entire course with Paspalum, the salt-tolerant strain of grass that is currently on The Ocean Course, returning the greens and tees back to their original sizes and shapes, and recontouring all of the bunkers. The course is scheduled to reopen in October 2014.

Subtle greens demand a keen eye and deft touch. The course has hosted many amateur and professional tournaments including the 1990 PGA Cup Matches.

Tucked away in the center of Kiawah River Estates, just outside of the Kiawah gate, Oak Point is most frequently referred to as a Scottish-American style course. Wide areas of windswept fairways stretch alongside salty marshes interspersed with densely forested areas of live oaks, magnolias, pines and palmetto palms.

  • COUGAR POINT by Gary Player8005761570

Proclaimed by many long-time guests as their favorite course on the island, Cougar Point is the resort’s Gary Player design.
