Charleston Visitor Center, 375 Meeting St. Staff provides assistance with selection of accommodations and dining; distributes brochures, maps and schedules; sells tickets for area tours, attractions, events and performances. Open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. except November-March (8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.) (843)853-8000.
Shuttle
Downtown Area Shuttle (DASH) offers transportation throughout historic district. Tourists can park at Visitor Center, 375 Meeting St., or at any city-owned parking garage while they ride. Single rides 75 cents (exact change required), 25 cents for seniors before 3 p.m., all-day pass $2, three-day pass $5, monthly pass $18. Maps, schedules at Visitor Center.
