Thinking about celebrating the Fourth of July in Charleston?

Here is a detailed guide to all of the Independence Day happenings. Plan a trip and come celebrate with us!

Patriots Point
Located in the beautiful Charleston Harbor, Patriots Point and the USS YORKTOWN are taking center stage, hosting a fun-filled evening centered around food, beverages and the best fireworks show in all of South Carolina! For the first time, 1,000 guests are being granted special access onto the Flight Deck, an event that has live music kicking off at 6:00pm and a food and beverage selection fit for a king. Over 25,000 additional people are expected to attend the festivities on surrounding land, where food vendors and entertainment for kids is accompanied by one of the best seats in the house to enjoy the breathtaking fireworks display over Charleston Harbor.

Folly Beach
Folly Beach is one of the most popular Fourth of July destinations, being that its location 15 miles from Downtown Charleston makes it the ideal spot. Spectators can enjoy the surrounding restaurants and shops or take a stroll on the Folly Beach Fishing Pier while waiting for the sun to set, and once it becomes dark the firework show will begin! Grab family, friends and a blanket to curl up with, and make sure to arrive early because the beach fills up quickly!

North Charleston
Riverfront Park will be hosting the annual Fourth of July celebrations in North Charleston on Wednesday, July 4 from 3:00pm-10:00pm. Guests are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs, and the firework show will begin at 9:15pm. Riverfront Park will also have plenty of live music and children's activities ranging from jump castles and games to a giant sandbox and water fountain.

Summerville
Summerville's "Red, White and Blue on the Green" is a local favorite. Town Square will be transformed into a full blown street festival on July 1, and the festivities occur from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Activities range from face painting and crafts to dunk tanks, jump castles and live music. A non-motorized parade will also be held for bikes, wagons, roller blades, baby carriages and dog walkers alike, and awards will be handed out for best costumes and best decorations. The actual fireworks display will occur on July 4 at Gahagan Sports Complex located at 515 West Boundary Street.

Isle of Palms
For a more low key celebration, the Isle of Palms will be displaying fireworks at around 9:30pm on Front Beach, right off of Ocean Boulevard. Spectators can enjoy the local beach bars before it gets dark and the festivities begin.
