James Island's Terrace Theater is known for its off-the-wall events, lesser-known film showings, and the fact that you can buy alcohol to enjoy during your movie. Now you can add one more perk to the Terrace Theater's reputation: They are going to start offering 3-D films!

This Thursday, June 7th, at midnight, you can head over to Terrace Theater (1956D Maybank Highway) and see the movie theater's first-ever 3-D showing. The theater's debut 3-D film is Ridley Scott's Prometheus, which was rumored to be the prequel of the ever-popular horror film Alien. But the best news is that you don't have to shell out extra cash for those clunky 3-D glasses—for the Terrace's first 3-D show, you can enjoy that third dimension for free!

The theater's owner stated that the event is "for people who want 3-D without the crush of the bucks. Independent theaters support the idea that the movie-going experience should be a consistent value for customers."

Believe it or not, the Terrace Theater made history with this offering, as it's the first movie theater in the state to offer 3-D showings without an extra charge.

But the fun doesn't stop there. Not only will you have the opportunity to check out Prometheus in all of its 3-D glory—if you choose to go to the midnight screening on Thursday, you can plan on coming a couple of hours early to check out Alien at 9:30 p.m.—for no extra cost. That's right, folks—two movies for a ten-dollar bill.

Does it get any better than that?
