Located at Edwin S. Taylor Fishing Pier are the Folly Beach Moonlight Mixers! Held on Friday evenings, a thick aura of music fills the air as DJ Jim Bowers of 1340 The Boardwalk plays only the best "shaggin" music. This summer, the mixers will be held on June 1, June 22, July 27, August 10, August 31 and September 21.

Gates for the event open at 7 p.m., and the music is accompanied by a selection of food and drinks. Only 600 tickets are available for the event, so it is recommended to purchase them ahead of time. Tickets are available for $10 each and only  $8 each for Charleston County residents. Tickets can be purchased at the gate, depending on availability, or they can be bought online.

The mixers are a great way to get a feel for the Charleston atmosphere, as well as the personalities of its local residents, and a good time is always guaranteed. All ages are welcome, and the sea breeze gives the location a fresh and welcoming scent. So come join us for a little dancing under the stars!
